Arnaud Démare Secures First Podium with Arkéa-Samsic at Grand Prix d’Isbergues
Arnaud Démare, the French cyclist, expressed his satisfaction with his first podium finish with the Arkéa-Samsic team at the Grand Prix d’Isbergues. Despite not being able to secure the win, Démare remains optimistic about his chances for the rest of the season.
Démare praised his teammates for their hard work during the race, stating, “I don’t have too many regrets, because we carried the weight of the race, the Tudor team and us. My team-mates did a great job. I’d like to thank them.” He highlighted the excellent support he received from his pilot-fish, Dan McLay, who launched him superbly.
Although Démare was eventually overtaken by his rivals, he sees his third-place finish as a step closer to success. He stated, “My rivals were faster, but what I want to remember is that third place brings me closer to success. I’ve had some bad luck in recent races, but this third place proves that, as usual, I’m not giving up. I’m still hoping to raise my arms with Arkéa-Samsic by the end of the season.”
With this solid performance, Démare stands as a strong contender for future races with the Arkéa-Samsic team and remains determined to achieve victory before the season concludes.
