“My presence at this 2024 edition of Paris-Roubaix already smacks of victory. Indeed, on February 24, after breaking my collarbone in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, I never thought I’d be taking part in this race, which is so close to my heart. I certainly had the secret hope of doing so, but to find myself on the starting line in Compiègne on Sunday is quite an achievement. From now on, I’ve got nothing to lose, and I tell myself that anything that happens can only be a bonus. I haven’t had the ideal preparation for this event, but I’m going to be fresh, which can be an asset at the end of the Flanders Classics campaign. In any case, I’m going to make the most of this chance to compete in my favourite classic, and the aim is to try to take and give, if possible, as much pleasure as possible to the fans of the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team”.
