Reflecting on his triumph, Kooij noted, “We did a really good job as a team. Maybe we hit the front a little too early, but it allowed me to start the sprint from a great position. I was able to find my way in the final kilometer, and luckily I still had enough power in the legs. After not being able to sprint properly yesterday because of the crash, it feels great to take the win today.”

The stage began with a calm ambiance until fierce winds sliced through the peloton with 60 kilometers to go. While riders **Edoardo Affini** and **Julien Vermote** maintained their position in the leading group, the initial split did not end up being pivotal.

As the race progressed and with 35 kilometers remaining, the pack managed to regroup. The finale proved to be electric, with multiple splits occurring as the riders approached **Ardooie**.
