Alex Aranburu Shines with Another Top Ten Result in His First Tour de France Participation

Alex Aranburu continues to impress in his debut Tour de France, securing another sixth-place finish in the race. The Basque rider sprinted to the finish line in the chase group behind the solo winner on the challenging 16th stage from El Pas de la Casa to Saint-Gaudens.

Despite a fast and aggressive start to the stage, Aranburu managed to join the breakaway and stay at the front throughout the day. He showcased his determination and strength by bridging the gap to the leaders and fighting hard on the climbs.

Reflecting on his performance, Aranburu said, “In theory, it suited me. I feel like I have come a long way at the race. It has been a very, very hard Tour de France but day by day I am getting there and learning things and fighting every day.”

This top ten result marks another milestone for Aranburu in his promising career. His teammate Alexey Lutsenko also had a solid performance, finishing alongside the yellow jersey and maintaining his seventh place overall.
