A fine return to racing for Valentin Madouas

Valentin Madouas Shows Promise in His Return to Racing at Vuelta a Murcia

Valentin Madouas put on an impressive performance at the Vuelta a Murcia, securing a top-5 finish in his first race of the season. Madouas, joined by his teammates, will next compete in the Clasica de Almeria, a race that is expected to favor sprinters.

Madouas, along with his counterparts like Lewis Askey, Olivier Le Gac, and Clément Russo, embarked on the challenging 200-kilometer course in the Murcia region of Spain. The race presented its own set of difficulties with three designated climbs and challenging weather conditions. Despite the demanding elements, Madouas showcased resilience and determination throughout the race.

The Frenchman’s efforts were backed by his team, with Frédéric Guesdon mentioning, “We didn’t chase too much because Valentin wasn’t feeling super. We stayed in the wheels, and Clément and Lewis protected Valentin at the front because it was windy.”

Commenting on his performance, Madouas remarked, “For a first race, it’s quite positive. I’m happy with the feelings and I hope to do great things soon.” His fifth-place finish was a testament to his tenacity and potential, setting a promising tone for the upcoming races.

Looking ahead, Madouas is set to continue his Spanish campaign with the Clasica de Almeria. Frédéric further added, “Given the course and the field of sprinters, it should be a bunch sprint. Anyway, everyone did their job today and was where we expected them to be.” With an uplifted spirit and determination, Madouas is looking forward to contributing to his team’s success in the upcoming race and beyond.
