ProTeam Lotto-Intermarché motivated to take on Itzulia Basque Country

# ProTeam Lotto-Intermarché Gears Up for Itzulia Basque Country

The Basque Country is renowned for its challenging terrain and dedicated fans, and this year’s race promises to maintain that reputation. For ProTeam Lotto-Intermarché, the upcoming week is about more than just competition; it’s about embodying the spirit of the region. The team is comprised of Baptiste Veistroffer, Felix Ørn-Kristoff, Georg Zimmermann, Mathieu Kockelmann, Matthew Fox, Reuben Thompson, and Robin Orins, who will tackle the six stages of this prestigious race through the heartland of Orbea.

“The Basque Country is the place of Orbea. So we are really proud to be racing in their area for the upcoming week. We are keen to represent the brand and honor them as best as we can,” emphasized Veistroffer.

Having recently participated in breakaways at the Tour of Catalunya, Veistroffer feels well-prepared for the rhythms of Spanish racing. “I’ve been in Spain now for quite some time. Catalunya was a really nice experience as we really managed to colour the race, which was fun to do. I really enjoyed it! We are looking forward to racing Itzulia with not too much stress, luckily. Even though we are not here with a full climbers team, we are motivated to show our best selves out there again,” Veistroffer added.

With a mindset focused on visibility and initiative, ProTeam Lotto-Intermarché is ready to seize the opportunities presented by this demanding race. As they ride through the storied roads of the Basque Country, the team is determined to honor both their sponsors and the character of this remarkable region.
