ProTeam Collective effort powers strong UAE Tour performance

# Teamwork and Resilience Shine at the UAE Tour

After facing the challenges of seven intense stages against formidable competitors, Lennert Van Eetvelt marked a commendable sixth place in the general classification, showcasing remarkable consistency, resilience, and determination. A standout moment for Van Eetvelt came during stage three, where he triumphed with a strong third-place finish. Reflecting on his performance, he stated, *”It was a bit unfortunate that I couldn’t show my full potential in stage six, but I am happy that in stage three I could show that my legs are getting there. It’s a promising sign and we learned some great lessons this week.”*

Sports Director Mario Aerts assessed the team’s performance and objectives, noting, *”We came here with the goal to do well in the general classification, so we are happy with a 6th place. Of course, we had hoped for a bit more after Lennert’s third place in stage three. But in the end, a sixth place is really good. Especially after his crash in Australia, which made us come to the UAE Tour with some question marks.”*

In addition to Van Eetvelt’s successes, Steffen De Schuyteneer proved his mettle with two impressive seventh-place finishes. These results not only highlight individual prowess but also underscore the structured teamwork that was pivotal throughout the team’s week in the Middle East. The road captains and seasoned riders played an essential role in guiding younger talents through high-pressure sprint finishes, strong crosswinds, and crucial climbs.

Aerts underscored the importance of collective effort, stating, *”We’ve seen some really good teamwork done by everyone. We should not forget that we were here with a really young team. The experience from Jasper De Buyst was crucial this week. But in general, we can be really satisfied with the work done by the team.”*

While victories are never assured at this competitive level, the presence, teamwork, and evident progression signal a positive trajectory for the team. Aerts optimistically remarked, *”A win is never easy, but we should not forget that we did show ourselves off very strongly here. Especially with the teamwork that we showed, we can look ahead positively to what is to come.”*

As the team reflects on their journey, the lessons learned and the strength of their camaraderie bode well for future competitions.
