# Bart Lemmen Achieves Fifth Place at Muscat Classic
In a thrilling edition of the Muscat Classic, Team Visma | Lease a Bike showcased their talent as they took on a challenging course filled with steep climbs. The race witnessed the team fielding both WorldTour and Development riders, with the focus intensifying in the final twenty kilometers.
As the peloton approached the climactic segment, the yellow-and-black squad maintained a vigilant position at the forefront. Notable riders Bart Lemmen, Sepp Kuss, and Tijmen Graat demonstrated their prowess by riding alongside the lead pack. Although they could not clinch the victory, Lemmen’s performance earned him a commendable fifth-place finish.
Reflecting on his race, Bart Lemmen remarked, “I can be satisfied with today. I’m happy with this result… Aldo Taillieu and Patryk Goszczurny did a fantastic job throughout the stage. In the finale, Sepp, Tijmen, and I were also well-positioned on the Aidoraak. I still had something left at the end, which allowed me to break away from the chasing group.”
This impressive result bolsters the 30-year-old rider’s confidence as he and his team prepare for the upcoming Tour of Oman. “It’s great to start the season on a strong note. I had a good winter, but of course, that doesn’t guarantee anything. Having it confirmed in the first race of the season gives a lot of confidence. Hopefully, we can carry this good form through as a team,” he expressed.
