# Baltimore Gears Up for Maryland Cycling Classic with Enthusiastic Fan Ride
Hundreds of children and cycling enthusiasts from Baltimore’s Jewish community gathered to warmly welcome Israel – Premier Tech (IPT) in a spirited fan ride ahead of the Maryland Cycling Classic. The event showcased unity and support for the team, emphasizing the connection between fans and athletes.
“You are giving us so much strength and pride,” expressed Gary Bauman from Team Baltimore Bike for 4 Chai to Ron Baron, the team founder, and Israeli rider [Oded Kogut](https://israelpremiertech.com/rider/oded-kogut/). Baron reciprocated the appreciation by stating, “We have an enormous fanbase around the world,” before leading the ride.
Kogut shared heartfelt moments with the crowd, signing autographs and exchanging hugs and high-fives with excited children who flocked to meet the team.
Longtime IPT supporter Jason Perlman, who made the journey from Washington to join the festivities, captured the day’s essence with his remarks: “The IPT tifosi aren’t going anywhere. We stand by you in the good times and the hard times, as we’ve seen in the last week.”
With the fan ride wrapped up, all attention now turns to the upcoming race. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the team during the Maryland Cycling Classic, which kicks off at Harbor Point (Central Plaza) at 12:30 PM tomorrow.
