# Zingle Captures Second Place in Thrilling Final Stage of Tour of Denmark
In an electrifying conclusion to the Tour of Denmark, Axel Zingle showcased his prowess by finishing in a commendable second place during the final stage. Nine riders initiated a swift breakaway at the onset, establishing an impressive lead of over three minutes, but the peloton ultimately caught up with them just 21 kilometers from the finish.
As the cyclists tackled the challenging local circuits, Zingle’s remarkable stamina became evident as he maintained pace with the top contenders on the uphill stretches. He raced towards the finish line alongside four other competitors, including the eventual winner, Mads Pedersen. Despite a valiant effort in the final sprint, Zingle settled for second place, capping off his Tour experience with distinction.
“In the finale, Axel did everything he could, but the strongest rider won,” remarked Maarten Wynants, the sports director. He added, “We knew we had a great opportunity with Axel today.
