Soudal Quick-Step Navigates Volta Catalunya Stage 4 Successfully

The team of Soudal Quick-Step safely negotiated stage 4 of this year’s Volta Catalunya.

The 169km course between Sort and Lleida was the only day of this year’s race that was designated for the faster finishers, meaning that our team’s main job was to guide Mikel Landa, who sits in 2nd place in the overall general classification, safely through a hectic finale.

The Soudal Quick-Step riders did that without incident, on a day that was dominated by a three-man breakaway which was typical of a stage of this profile type. This was reeled in by the work of several sprinter’s teams with 25km to go, which led to Marijn van den Berg (EF Education – EasyPost) taking the win.
