Liv AlUla Jayco Continental Team Prepares for the Spring Classics Season with High Spirits

The Liv AlUla Jayco Women’s Continental Team is gearing up for the spring classics, commencing with the one-day Omloop van het Hageland, with a focus on gaining invaluable experience and aiming for success. Emma Jeffers, part of the team lineup, emphasized the team’s preparedness for the race, stating, “During the training camp in Spain, for example, we invested a lot in echelon riding. In classics like the Omloop van het Hageland, you can count on the fact that wind will have a big influence.”

Excitement and anticipation are running high within the team as they look forward to their upcoming races. According to Jeffers, “Looking back on the first few weeks on the team, it just gets you excited.” She further added, “In a relatively short time, a solid unit has been formed. Hopefully, that will take us further in the upcoming races, starting in the Omloop van het Hageland. The commitment from everyone is enormous.”

The team members are enthusiastic and motivated to make a mark. Mackenzie Coupland, reflecting on her training in Europe, shared, “The level seems pretty high, although of course you have to wait and see how high it really is when you get into racing. In any case, all riders are motivated to the limit to make it a success.”

The team’s eagerness to perform is evident, as Coupland expressed her aspirations for the Omloop van het Hageland, “In the Omloop van het Hageland, I want to rediscover the European bunch and keep up with how they race.” She highlighted the importance of not only individual development but also the collective strength of the team, emphasizing the goal of “being able to go for success together.”
