Team Jayco AlUla Prepares for the Belgian Opening Weekend Cycling Classics

Team Jayco AlUla is set to take on the traditional ´Opening Weekend´ of the cycling calendar with the upcoming Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne races in Belgium. Lead by cobbled classics specialist Luke Durbridge, the team is gearing up with a blend of experience and fresh talent for the challenging competitions.

In an exciting build-up to the weekend, Durbridge shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne will be my first races back in Europe and the first taste of the classics. I´m looking forward to it as I had a good tour in Oman and had some good feelings there. I had a different build up to the season with not doing the Aussie summer, but I feel refreshed and ready to hop into the European season.

Tristan Hoffman, the Sport Director, highlighted the nature of racing in Belgium, emphasizing, “It´s a hard way of racing and not easy so everyone will get a chance in Nieuwsblad.” The team is aiming for an aggressive approach and looks forward to supporting Max Walscheid in Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne if the race comes down to a bunch finish.

The line-ups for the races are as follows:

Lawson Craddock (USA)
