According to sports director Jan Boven, the key to Van Empel’s success was her swift start, enabling her to navigate the chaotic field effectively. This approach allowed her to ride her own lines and steadily widen the gap, ultimately ensuring a triumphant win.

Van Empel expressed her confidence and satisfaction with her performance, noting, “I had a perfect run-up. I felt pretty relaxed the last few days.
