Mark Renshaw Highlights Positive Momentum After Tour Down Under

The Astana Qazaqstan Team recently completed their inaugural race of the 2024 season at the Santos Tour Down Under in Australia. Despite encountering setbacks, Sports Director Mark Renshaw remains optimistic about the team’s trajectory for upcoming races.

Renshaw commented, “Although we did not get the results we wanted this week, I believe we are on a good trajectory for next racing weeks.” He mentioned the unfortunate crash during Stage 3, which impacted the team’s General Classification aspirations. However, he highlighted the strong performance of Max Kanter and the positive sprinter and lead-out relationship forming within the team.

Renshaw also mentioned his satisfaction with leading the team as Sports Director, expressing comfort in his role. The team’s performance at the Tour Down Under has set the stage for their future endeavors.
