Lorena Wiebes overcomes illnesses and finds extra motivation for Tour of Scandinavia
Dutch cyclist Lorena Wiebes is feeling extra motivated as she prepares for the upcoming Tour of Scandinavia after battling through a series of illnesses. The 22-year-old rider, who competes for Team SD Worx, had been dealing with setbacks due to health issues but has now recovered and is ready to take on the challenges ahead.
“I have had a tough run of illnesses recently, which has been quite frustrating,” Wiebes explained. “But I have been working hard to overcome them and get back to full fitness. This experience has only fuelled my motivation to perform well in the Tour of Scandinavia.”
Wiebes, who has already shown her potential as a sprinter with several victories under her belt, is eager to make a strong impression in the upcoming race. The Tour of Scandinavia is known for its challenging routes and tough competition, making it an ideal platform for riders to showcase their skills.
“I know that the Tour of Scandinavia will be a tough race, but I am ready for the challenge,” Wiebes said. “I have been training hard and focusing on my recovery to make sure I am in the best possible shape. I want to prove myself and show what I am capable of.”
