Juan Ayuso regrets not being able to assist Mikel Landa

In a recent race, young cyclist Juan Ayuso expressed his disappointment at not being able to support his teammate Mikel Landa when the latter launched a strong attack. Ayuso said, “Mikel Landa attacked and he was crazy strong. He had a big acceleration and I managed to stay with him. Then I wanted to try and help him and go together, but when I went next to him, I just didn’t have the legs, I was on the limit. It’s a pity I couldn’t go with him and try to gain some time but it is what it is.”

Despite the missed opportunity, Ayuso remains hopeful for the upcoming races. He mentioned his desire to recover after three challenging days and expressed anticipation for the last big fight on Saturday. Ayuso said, “I hope we can recover a bit tomorrow after these three really hard days and then on Saturday it will be the last big fight. I expect it will be a big battle.”

Ayuso’s display of sportsmanship and determination highlight the spirit of teamwork in the world of cycling. As he continues to grow as a cyclist, Ayuso undoubtedly holds potential to make a significant impact in future races and contribute to the success of his team.
