Primož Roglič Takes Stage 8 Victory at the Vuelta a España

In an exciting sprint finish, Primož Roglič emerged victorious in stage 8 of the Vuelta a España, edging out Remco Evenepoel. Additionally, Sepp Kuss claimed the red jersey for his Jumbo-Visma team.

Throughout the day, a large breakaway group dominated the race, but Groupama-FDJ and Jumbo-Visma remained persistent in their efforts to limit their advantage. Kuss attempted to capitalize on this hard work on the challenging ramps of the Xorret de Catí, only to be pursued and caught by Evenepoel.

Evenepoel’s presence at the front of the peloton deterred any other attacks from his rivals, resulting in a sprint finish with eight riders. Evenepoel initiated the sprint, but Roglič swiftly surpassed him in the final few hundred meters to claim victory.
