Lotto Dstny, a professional cycling team, has announced the signing of three promising Belgian riders for the upcoming seasons. Jenno Berckmoes (22), Lionel Taminiaux (27), and Henri Vandenabeele (23) have all agreed to two-year contracts with the team.
CEO Stéphane Heulot expressed his excitement about the new additions, stating, “We are happy that these three talented Belgians are joining our Lotto Dstny project. With these riders, we are strengthening the team on different terrains. They perfectly fit into our plans for the future.”
Henri Vandenabeele, who was previously part of the Lotto Dstny Development Team, is looking forward to a fresh start with the ProTeam. He expressed his gratitude to his former team, Team DSM-firmenich, and stated that his focus is on getting healthy and showing his climbing abilities in races.
Jenno Berckmoes, who turns pro last year, is excited about the opportunity to race in the hilly Classics. He described himself as a puncheur and dreams of competing in races like Brabantse Pijl, Amstel Gold Race, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Berckmoes is looking forward to assisting his teammates and proving himself in these races.
Lionel Taminiaux, known for his strong sprint and performances in hilly one-day Classics, will be leaving Alpecin-Deceuninck to join Lotto Dstny. He expressed his eagerness to race offensively and further develop his potential within the team. Taminiaux’s role will be twofold, as he aims to discover his capabilities in the Classics while also supporting the team.
The addition of these three riders is expected to strengthen Lotto Dstny’s roster and contribute to their future success. The team continues to invest in their development and looks forward to the upcoming seasons with the new signings.
